NANNA'S BIO - TO DATE

Nanna Goose is an amazing little lady. She has come into the program at almost ten years old having been the much loved pet of her owner and trainer, living out her retirement in his yard. A change of circumstances has forced him to ask G.A.P. to try to find her a new home. Nanna is amazingly youthful for a dog of her age, her previous owner tells me he's known dogs of her line to live to 16 or 17. I'd believe that after watching Nanna play with our two younger retirees, she can still give them a run for their money and is definitely fitter than Clyde, I'd be willing to bet that she will outlive him too! Incredibly intelligent, very keen to please and eager to learn new tricks, she has picked up basic obedience techniques faster than any other foster hound we've had. She is gentle, loving, funny and playful, she has beautiful manners (has made no attempt to steal from the benches or get on the furniture) and a very happy nature.

Nanna has only three problems, she is not cat safe, she is a fairly picky eater, and she is petrified of thunder and fireworks. Apart from these minor things you couldn't fault her.

If we didn't have 2 hounds already and a commitment to G.A.P. fostering Nanna would not be leaving this house. We think she is the nicest Greyhound we've ever fostered - in some ways even better than Heidi and Clyde (we just don't let either of them hear us say that). The family that opens their hearts to this very special Greyhound will have a truly beautiful companion, may be for a shorter time than a younger hound but believe me she would be worth it!
