Pats and cuddles are very welcome, particularly a good scratch around his ears and back.

Treats are another reliable favourite, with beef jerky and pigs’ ears apparently sitting fairly high in the rankings. Out on a walk, Base enjoys taking his time to sniff and investigate before settling quickly onto his bed afterwards. He’s also a quick learner who responds well to food rewards, repetition and a calm environment.
