Dorothy, or most often called Dot, is a sweet, adaptable and energetic girl who loves being outside, laying in the sun and zooming around a backyard. She will happily go on long walks and will often complain if her walk is shorter than 3 km.
Dot is very well socialised and friendly with most dog breeds she has met. From Jack Russels to playing tug of war with Border Collies to meeting other greyhounds. Dot is rather independent and does enjoy her own space, so would do best in a house where she is the centre of attention or a dog that understands how greyhounds play.
Besides sleeping, Dot loves chasing a ball most of all. She has been fostered in a home with Chickens and is not bothered by them. Dot has been exposed to pet cats and is rather curious about them, she would be best in a home without one.
Dot is toilet trained, and perfectly capable of being alone for up to 8 hours. She’s not anxious but can be rather vocal if she hasn’t been fed dinner by 6 pm or gone on her walk. Dot is very food motivated and hasn't met a treat or vegetable she doesn't like.
Dot has met people of all ages, is great and gentle around kids. She would thrive in a family who could give her lots of affection and always make sure her ball is thrown
Meet Dorothy, affectionately known as Dot! Dot has been enjoying life in a foster home, where her foster carer has found her to be a sweet, adaptable and energetic girl. She loves being outside, sunbaking, zooming around the backyard and going for long walks — and she’ll happily let you know if her walk is shorter than 3km! She absolutely loves chasing a ball and is very food motivated! Dot has lived with chickens and is unbothered by them, but is curious about cats, so a cat-free home would suit her best. She is toilet trained, comfortable being left alone for up to 8 hours, and has been gentle and lovely with people of all ages, including children. A gorgeous girl who would love a home full of affection, walks and plenty of ball throwing!
